Who is Gideon, Anyway?

I really got old this last year.
I've realized quite how strange it is to feel yourself growing up, and changing.
Particularly in thoughts and analysis.
I don't find silence awkward.
I don't find many things awkward.
I think it is weird that we as a culture halt expression midway because we are uncomfortable with the way it sounds.

I'm not like that.

I hate it when people apologize for opening up to me.
What else am I here for, you guys?
Certainly not to criticize, demoralize, capsize, baptize, canonize, immunize, dehumanize, scrutinize, synthesize, nor solarize (because I trust you know where your Sun is).
I am here to listen, alright?
Don't apologize for letting me know about you.
And don't apologize for letting me remember.
All of life is memory, on occasion, and I'd rather not forget.

...I think that's it.

The line about memory reminds me of this recording I was listening to- Duma Key by Stephen King. I'll have to show it to you soon.

Hey, guess what I forgot? It's the 24th. 42 backwards, you know. It's been an interesting day.

Not to go summarizing someone's life story in a single sentence like I've been cautioned against, but Gideon was the guy responsible for the fact that there's A BIBLE IN EVERY SINGLE HOTEL ROOM EVER.
